I just got an email from the principal.

It is with great sadness that I am writing to inform you that our colleague, Dave Bailey passed away yesterday after a long battle with cancer.

Dave will be greatly missed by both staff and students, especially in our Computing section where he taught for 12 years.



A sad day.

He put me in touch with the IT manager, that's how I got the job here.

I was looking forward to him getting better and coming back to work so I could say hello.

I guess I won't be able to now.

Just seen Glynis and Helen. I didn't mention anything.

I'll talk to Dave H when I see him next, as apparently he visited him that day.

His funeral is on friday at 2:30pm.

Unfortunately I'd arranged to go to the Sheffield work office before hand, I'm giving a colleague a lift to so I can't cancel

I'm not sure I want to go any more.

If I go... then it'll be like he's really gone. As it stands at the moment, he's just someone I haven't seen for a few years.
