"Cannon bends over for his Father" : They call me Gaz
I've been looking at MG ZRs on your advice, looking at about 3 grand for a high mileage 1.4 3dr one...still some Rover 25s @ 40k miles for 2.5ish
Its annoying, ones I like are usually sold...the ones that are a really good price for what they are tend to be yellow.

Here's the thing, I can't! I had a joint account with Steph that was constantly going red so its fucked up my credit rating.
The only place that accepted me was this car finance group, who kept ringing and arranged an appointment for today, but I bottled it - I rang up and said I had to goto London for a few days....mainly after seeing there APR rate is 19.9%! Which means I'm guarenteed to have to pay off an extra £800 on anything over £3500.
The lady said my rating should be okay in three months (2 from now)...so if I can keep my little baby going for a little bit longer....with her smashed back light and breaking cat...I'll be fine

I'm not a big fan of things on credit, infact I've always brought things outright (laptop, tv as examples).
...however I really can't afford 3-4k straight outright.
The way I look at it, people who tell me I shouldn't do it (steph, my parents, certain friends) have all had credit cards and loans themselves and I've NEVER had anything like that, so I think its abit unjust to give me such advice.
I've wanted this car since I was 12-13 and I'm treating myself to it. Very soon.

Well I was going to until Lee mentioned the MG-ZR...then I fell in love with the new front they've put on it.
...and I know what your response would be, but quite honestly YES the way the front of the car looks matters to me, as I think it reflects on you as a person and how you present yourself.
At the moment when people see me in a banged up Fiesta I dont think much of myself.

Rovers are old man cars. That looks nice though. I need to pay off my credit card, it seems to stick around the £850 mark no matter what i do

150k! I was led to believe that anything over 80 is something to avoid.
Depends on what the car has done. If it's sat on a motorway all it's life, it could have 300'000 on the clock.
Likewise, cars that only ever do short journeys will condensate inside the engine, which fills the oil with water. So, you could very easily end up with two identical cars, one with 15'000 on the clock and one with 300'000, where the 15'000 one needs some serious attention and the 300'000 one is lovely.
Similarly, cars that only ever do short journeys usually do it around town. So, the suspension is knackered from dropping down drains all the time, and the engine has massive wear through the oil never being hot enough to lubricate efficiently.
My car pulled a caravan to Belgium and back once a year by the guy that owned it previously.
There's no substitute for going to have a look at a car you're buying, knowing what you're talking about and giving it a good poke round. I wouldn't have bought a nail.
the iPod can handle it.
