My 360 has always been a fighter. Since day one its been running through the VGA cable to my monitor, which it didnt seem to like.
It would always take 5 or 6 start ups for the signal to get through to my monitor, along the way (every day) it would flash the three red lights as it struggled to get through, crying in pain.
However, for almost a year it coped and ran fine (after the daily trauma of getting it to start up).
Today was a strange one, it worked first time. However Xbox Live was down so we decided we should play some Saints Row. Upon SR booting the speakers put out a horrendous cry of pain and the monitor flickered pixels being torn apart and murdered.
Then the unbelievable happened. The red lights upon next boot. No problem I thought, its just your daily pain. However, this pain was the final act. My 360 now refuses to turn on in a green state, no signal is sent to the monitor, they're bond is forever broken.
After 27 minutes on the phone to support, we have confirmed reports that my 360 has passed away. It is my job to send it in a box to an address I should recieve via email in the next two days.
No email has arrived yet.
