Like jack can have his wish, and may come back from the b-group forum. If you made him moderator of Hardware/Software Discussion.
Lee could be moderator of the kitchen :P as he usually is the b33f ring leader.
Rich can have his own section, called 'the kiddies playground' and can be moderator of whateva goes on in their.
Russy.. well nothing on wuggawoo interests him, so he shouldnt be a mod.
And you will never give me a mod position ever anywayz. Even though i dont post anything bad anymore.
Plus.. allow moderators to warn/ban other moderators, but dont allow moderators to rollback warnings, only allow them to issue them :P
and if a moderator abuses it, you simple de-mod him :P

Christ FFS its THERE!!!! Its not difficult, THERE. "THEIR" is when your talking about something which belongs to a person. THERE!!! is most of the other things, example, "look over there" "there are two shits in the toilet" and so on.

Put it this way, if I do code a system of moderation as you want, what happens to our numbers?
You'd think I'd despise you
But in the end I wanna thank you
'Cause you made me that much stronger

1 = Member
2 = Regular Member (should be an automated system of upgrading, where if they are online for over XX amount of time, they become a level 2, stops you being biased)
3 = they are a moderator of something
4 = Overall Moderator (they can moderate any section)
5 = Admin.
You decide on weither to include the level 4 :P
*Whether btw.
4 should be global moderator and 5 admin, i agree.
by azz0r at 13th Mar 8:26pm
How I see it, numbers are dropped.
You still have a status id but its not visible.
Number's should stay :P its a quick and easy way to see who is what level.
by azz0r at 13th Mar 8:29pm
But say I let you moderator one forum and you have level three then but your actual power is limited so
Seems simple enough for me
Level 3 = Local Moderator
Level 4 = Global Moderator
Level 5 = Admin.
You simply add in an extra Number.
Plus code it so Local Moderators/Global Moderators/Admin can't de-warn people. Have it on a automated system, of 4 weeks without a warning, they get 1 warning taken off.
Makes it more automated, and a system anyone can understand, rather than when you see fit.
See, if you do it this way, if one moderator breaks your trust, you simple de-mod them :P
by azz0r at 13th Mar 8:33pm
You dont seem to understand, automated is virtually impossible without a cron job which Im not prepared todo.
you managed to do a ban lasts for 24 hours...
Why cant you do a warning lasts for 4 weeks. :P
anyway, he could just demod yanker now if he wants
Theres no way to impliment it into a script that doesnt relate to the user.
You'd think I'd despise you
But in the end I wanna thank you
'Cause you made me that much stronger
I.e. if wugga becomes as popular as Teamxbox :P you can bet your ass, your not going to go through each member de-warning them
It should be an automated system, with a designated time the warning stands for.
You'd think I'd despise you
But in the end I wanna thank you
'Cause you made me that much stronger

sorry that line made me laugh, its so un crompish
hank "you bet your ass"

Im the one that rolls back half your warnings. If youd rather i didnt, ok then
by MakaveLee at 13th Mar 8:34pm
whats with the :P lately, you seem to use the for no reason
anyway, he could just demod yanker now if he wants
Why should i be demodded? Ive been good.

na, i just think an automated system would be better. It keeps a better track of people, rather than just when an admin/moderator feels like it.
as aaron said it was the only way, to get what i suggested.
This is how i feel the moderating/user numbers should be..
1. New Member
When a member is a level 1, they can only perform basic forum tasks, and only see normal sections of the forum.
2. Regular Member
When a member is a level 2, they can only perform basic forum tasks, but can now see hidden sections of the forum
3. Privilaged Member
When a member is a level 3, they are trusted by the admin, and can now perform basic moderation abilitys on their own threads in certain sections (Delete Post) and can also see hidden sections of the forum
4. Local Moderator
Can perform basic moderation abilitys on certain sections of the forum. (Delete/Edit Post, Warn/Ban User)
5. Global Moderator
Can perform every moderation ability on all sections of the forum. (Delete/Edit Post, Warn/Dewarn/Ban/Unban User)
6. Teh OverLord Aaron
By Privileged member, i mean that a user can now moderate there own thread which they have created (only in certain sections, Hardware/Software Discussion and Gaming Discussion). Where they can only Delete a users post. This allows the user to stay in control of there own threads, without the use of a moderator stepping in.
1) Normal base use
2) Regular
3) Moderator (of certain areas)
4) Global moderator
5) Me
You'd think I'd despise you
But in the end I wanna thank you
'Cause you made me that much stronger

5. Global Moderator

6. Teh OverLord Aaron
