And also bigger, meaing more bandwidth would be used.

Im using PNG. The size is worth it for the ease of transparency and quality.

GIF only supports 256 colours, and transparency is dealth with in an on/off way.

PNG I think supports 24 bit colours, 8 bits per channel and an 8 bit alpha channel, so you can have variable transparency and all sorts of sly things.

Wuggs images are PNG32bit. Its made my life alot easier not having to worry about transparency like you would with a gif.
