I'm sensing career fast tracking!



Hmmm, I'm not sure. I do these things because I enjoy doing them. For example, I've spent all day doing Sharepoint development and copying my latest image of Windows XP to the many many servers we use across the county to image computers. I'm now at home doing some final revision before my CCNA 2 practical exam tomorrow and doing some more to my placement report.

I don't sit around doing pointless things and then complaining that other people are earning more than me, and it especially winds me up when people that work less than me "deserve" the money I'm on.

If you deserved it that much, you'd be off finding yourself a better job on the money you think you should be earning.

Anyway, I've gone a bit off topic.

The benefit of working from home is clear, I can get up and work whenever I like in my boxers if I so desire.

Does that mean I work less hours or less hard than you? Not at all.

Same here. Having said that, I'm earning more now after tax than I was two months ago before tax. Plenty for me considering I've got no serious out-goings.

I must be the only person in the world who's happy with what they're earning.

Can't be more than I do, but then I've never really looked.



I dont really know TBH, i havnt really had a consistent pay slip, its been different amounts each month, end of this month should be what i'll be getting on a regualr month though. Just looked at my last BT one, £675! (yikes), although when I had my 1st payslip from them it was £340ish, so it all depends on bonuses and stuff.

I get £18'000 a year. I get £1171 each month. (might be 1071, not sure without looking, cba).

1071 * 12 = 12'852
18'000 - 12'852 = 5'148 tax per year
5'148 / 12 = 429 tax a month

£429 a month, youch
