We violated these Macs with our dirty dirty Windows DVD.

I never really get macs, its like the 1st thing a mac user will do is get a windows emulator :/
The original iPhone was a breath of fresh air after so many stale phones that only slightly improved each time (k600, k700, k750, k800 as examples).
It introduced a large screen, touch screen technology and style to the phone market and it got alot of good press and great sales, rightly so.
HOWEVER I really don't see why the new version of it, which has had minimal changes is being held in such regard. People are queing outside stores. Engadged has turned into an Apple blog. Hell even the local news channels are talking about it.
WHY? They've added nothing dramatically major and have ignored alot of the big problems constantly pointed out such as no camera flash, a terrible camera, no mms, crippled bluetooth, no removable battery.
Having said all that, I'm loving the app store on my iPod touch :)
*Had a memory card slot
*decent bluetooth
*atleast a 3mp camera with decet features (led/flash, macro etc)
Mine has this at least. :D
Or so it would seem. The Apple keynotes have just finished and if you head over to engadget you can get lots of information on EA games for Mac, 10 new features in leopard, the iPhone and last but not least; Safari on Windows!
Thats right, if you head over to Apple.com/safari/download you can get Safari on Windows XP and Vista.
My honest to god first impressions? Slow like iTunes. Ugly like OSX. Useless like Opera.
Give it a show though and tell me I'm wrong.
Edit : After some testing, it does load pages noticably quicker than Firefox...interesting
As someone who spends 12 hours a day refreshing the same 5-10 pages while testing, it makes a hell of alot of difference to me.
See? It's relevant to you, not to me.
Apple has been criticized by some environmental organizations for not being a leader in removing toxic chemicals from its new products, and for not aggressively or properly recycling its old products. Upon investigating Apple’s current practices and progress towards these goals, I was surprised to learn that in many cases Apple is ahead of, or will soon be ahead of, most of its competitors in these areas. Whatever other improvements we need to make, it is certainly clear that we have failed to communicate the things that we are doing well.
It is generally not Apple’s policy to trumpet our plans for the future; we tend to talk about the things we have just accomplished. Unfortunately this policy has left our customers, shareholders, employees and the industry in the dark about Apple’s desires and plans to become greener. Our stakeholders deserve and expect more from us, and they’re right to do so. They want us to be a leader in this area, just as we are in the other areas of our business. So today we’re changing our policy.
Now I’d like to tell you what we are doing to remove toxic chemicals from our new products, and to more aggressively recycle our old products...
It is now a proven fact that Mac's are less safe than a Windows machine.
Knowing Apple fanboys smiles have been wiped, priceless.

Verizon is pissing me the fuck off. VCast is shit and it was supposed to be removed. That crackerjack fucker down at the Verizon store didn't disable VCast as requested. I do believe a 9mm bullet lodged in his head would be lovely.
Apple has something up it's sleeve no doubt.
Apple was rumoured to have replaced its "Aqua" theme in place of a dark Vista like theme for its next release of OSX (leopard).

Ofcourse.
People instantly think of iPod when they think of the mp3 player market, but you have to consider Creative and a few other large brands do have a large sales pattern in that market - they just don't own 75% of it.
Payment settles Creative's claim that Apple had illegally used its technology in its iPod mp3 players.
Apple said it will pay $100 million for a license to use Creative Technology's patented digital music player technology, settling legal disputes between the two companies.
Steve Jobs said "The agreement ends five lawsuits between the companies and removes the uncertainty and distraction of prolonged litigation. Creative is very fortunate to have been granted this early patent". Jobs said further that the settlement "resolves all of our differences with Creative."

More and more people are buying and loving Macs. To make this choice simply irresistible, Apple will include technology in the next major release of Mac OS X, Leopard, that lets you install and run the Windows XP operating system on your Mac. Called Boot Camp (for now), you can download a public beta today.
As elegant as it gets
Boot Camp lets you install Windows XP without moving your Mac data, though you will need to bring your own copy to the table, as Apple Computer does not sell or support Microsoft Windows.(1) Boot Camp will burn a CD of all the required drivers for Windows so you don't have to scrounge around the Internet looking for them.
System Manager
Optional alt. At startup, hold down the option key (alt) to choose between Mac OS X and Windows.
Run XP natively
Once you’ve completed Boot Camp, simply hold down the option key at startup to choose between Mac OS X and Windows. (That’s the “alt” key for you longtime Windows users.) After starting up, your Mac runs Windows completely natively. Simply restart to come back to Mac.

Why buy a Mac when any old PC with Gentoo has the same good points? :doze:
Because its a pain in the ass to find mainstream products that support Linux? Because people dont feel like entrusting their PC to a bunch of freelancers?
And as far as I know, Linux isnt specifically programmed and compiled for any specific system?
